Congrats B-E Esports Team!
The Husky Pack competed in their first ever SDHSAA eSports State Tournament and came out with a 4th place plaque to show for it!
This was the first season that ESports was available for students at Bridgewater-Emery. Thanks to the BE Student Boosters, the team acquired a Nintendo Switch, allowing the team, the Husky Pack, to compete in additional titles. The learning curve was steep, but by November 11, 2024, they were ready for the season. Sixteen students participated, forming seven teams across five titles. By season’s end, three of our teams qualified for the first SDHSAA Esports State Tournament. Their top Mario Kart team, Maximum Overdrive, secured 4th place overall in the state!

Mr. Zorr, ESports Coach stated “TrioTel has already played a crucial role in our success. Without their internet connection, online play with other schools wouldn’t be possible.”
Looking ahead to next year, Mr. Zorr is aiming to create a dedicated Esports lab for the students who want to participate. This past season, they were working on folding tables in the BE Band room and underpowered laptop computers, but their goal is to establish a permanent computer lab to house new updated equipment.
