Lake County Completion
The nearly 2 year long fiber-expansion to rural Lake County has officially wrapped up. This project has transformed Internet access to an underserved community, bringing lightning-fast fiber optic service right to residents’ doors.
Justin Norris, TrioTel Operations Manager, reflected on the significant impact of the Lake County Expansion project. “As TrioTel closes another chapter, we want to reflect on the significant impact of the Lake County Expansion project, which has enhanced fiber optic Internet services in the underserved areas around Lake Herman,” he said.
With the completion of an additional 123 miles of fiber optic main and drop lines, TrioTel has expanded its network coverage by 115 square miles, allowing us to provide superfast fiber optic Internet to 335 out of 405 homes in the newly covered area. “This extension enables residents to access the Internet in ways that were previously unattainable,” Norris added.
Residents can now enjoy download and upload speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, making it easier to work from home, stream videos, and connect with loved ones without latency or buffering issues. Throughout the project, challenges were minimal, and feedback from customers who have transitioned to our services has been overwhelmingly positive. “They have expressed excitement about the performance improvements and the transformative impact of fiber optic Internet on their daily lives.”
